What Actually is Spiritual Ignorance?

This week we will examine the sickness of the heart and mind and how the sickness is recognizable through very common inclinations. For instance, when we lack discrimination, we become enslaved. Why? The inner Nature has not been recognized. Spiritual ignorance takes many forms. The personality becomes enamoured with impermanence. Impermanence generates illusions, attachments and the two lead to suffering. Ignorance is a sickness of the heart and mind and falsely assumes that the impermanent world is where riches can be found. Not so. The inner light is infinitely richer than that of any possession.

The most powerful way to protect your self from negative energy is to remove the remaining ignorance's that exist in your own thinking and feeling nature. Until we see the harm that we are doing to ourselves by refusing to acknowledge the darkness, which I also call spiritual ignorance, we will not be free of negative influences. Some of the ignorance's are the following: lack of discrimination, not allowing or seeing the Light, lack of a higher understanding, cravings for things or people that are not permanent, ignorance of your own spiritual identity, jealousy, enslavement to the physical body, intellectual knowledge and impure intention. When we are freed from the ignorance's that are commonly accepted as our identifications, we will not make future mistakes or attract negative entities or energies toward us.

We can deliberately erase the false design that we have in most cases ignorantly created with a higher design, a design that has as its foundation true understanding. Understanding what needs to be removed, moves us toward harmony, oneness and equanimity. We are on earth in a physical body to learn to grow. We can be restored by being reminded of our purpose and then taking the right actions. As we discard the old and bring in the new design, it is easier to create an indescribable singular intimacy with our Source. What I would like you to ask yourself today is, "Do I live in that intimacy?" Go over the above list of possible ignorance's that block a soul from recovery and each day deliberately take another step toward true freedom.

Who is the Abuser?

There are people who attract abuse all their life. They blame others for their pain. The question to ask is who really is to blame? I feel abuse is a soul issue. If there is something amiss in the soul, whether it be from a long ago forgotten time or experiences remembered, there is a definite imbalance in the energy field. Something serious is obstructed. If an individual feels good about his or her self, abuse is not attracted or allowed. Somewhere in the soul's journey the imbalance has occurred. It is likely that the imbalances have been of a repetitive nature. Disturbances in the energy field remain unless addressed. It is vitally important that we free ourselves from the hurt, anger and the wounds people and events have directed toward us. Even more important is the abuse we direct toward ourselves. Why is abuse in any form accepted? Once accepted, it is similar to a malignancy.

I feel that humans allow injuries to be stored in the subconscious through lack of a higher knowledge of mental law, which also includes a spiritual ignorance. Spiritual ignorance is not understanding your soul identity and the purpose of life. When understanding is lacking, wounds fester and the human hasn't the faintest clue that he or she is the one who is the abuser. A soul's journey is not honored if abuse is allowed in any form. The physical body is the temple for the soul and the spirit. How can true love, joy and harmony exist if the body, mind and soul is not honored? Who takes the time to analyze what is really going on? Many people do not understand that their thoughts and behavior are undermining the very structure of their being. It is easier to blame another rather than looking at one's own pattern of reacting. When one is both the abuser and the abused, a state of inner disorder continues to attract pain, lack and confusion.

Forgiveness is the angelic road that leads to healing. If we do not forgive others and ourselves, we create strong and unhealthy bonds that continue into future experiences. It is in the forgiving of our lower nature, the ongoing mistakes, that will help us realize that an inner state of disorder is abuse. What is even worse is that the disorder is accepted as normal. The goal is to bring order out of disorder. People get so used to being hurt and in pain that they do not realize the depth of healing that is needed. They become too wounded to care. When we are wounded, we consciously cut ourselves off from our true Source, God. Forgiveness is a beginning~

Can a personal sense of self-worth prevent soul evolution?

In my opinion, yes. Your personal sense of self, whether it be a 'less than consciousness' as a human, or the belief of soul, the judgment will stand in the way of any true happiness, realization and freedom. Lives are destroyed because of abuse experienced beginning as a child. To understand what has happened to you or a friend is to understand why the feminine energy of the God equation has been thwarted in your evolution. Yang energy has taken over humanity for at least 7000 years.

Today, the male needs the nurturing comfort of the yin energy and many females need the empowerment that the male energy naturally has to offer. There is only One God but...the Supreme Being in matter-duality has two aspects that are constantly exerting themselves. Forget what gender you are and use the power at the moment you need. Abuse diminishes empowerment. If you were abused by your parents, the abuse more than likely has manifested over and over again through other people. Sometimes, it is so subtle that you do not realize that you are being held back.

Sometimes the abused will overcompensate in specific areas as such as the amount of food they eat, the material things they buy, wasting money and the sexual partners they cling to. Because they feel limited in their own nature, they place themselves in situations where it appears as if they are not worthy. They attract the undesirable. They will also use the excuse that it is not spiritual to respond to the abuser or to stand up for their rights. They will continue behaving as if everything is OK, not focusing only denying what is really destroying them on many levels. The abused lose their dignity and sense of self. The good and healing qualities of the spirit are denied because deep down within they feel betrayed. The typical attitude of one with a low sense of self worth is denial. They attempt to glide through life not paying attention to the fact that they have accepted being a target for abuse. One day the pain will be too much. The eyes will open. They clearly see what has been falsely created and realize that they are deserving and enough is enough. It is then that good change and soul evolution can continue.

Thoughts about Death

Physical death is an effect and a choice although it may appear otherwise. When the soul is ready to leave the body it attracts or finds a way to exit the temporary form. Whether death appears natural or deliberate matters not. The body is a garment and when the soul no longer has a desire to use it, the soul will find a way to leave. Physical forms are garments created for an experience, an experience that the soul creatively has chosen. The experience may be wise and bring further evolution or it may be unwise and create temporary pain and stagnation.

A physical death is always natural. Humans do not usually understand the underlying death wish of the soul who has not completed the return journey to conscious Oneness using a physical form. The Hebrew Bible tells us about men who did not have a death wish: Elijah, Moses, Melchizadek and Enoch. Everyone lived 500-1000 years. Today, India has its immortal yogis. Physical immortality is defined as a body and mind that remains healthy and active for over 300 years. The three basic causes of death are ignorance of the true identity as spirit, emotional energy pollution and poor diet. People die because they kill themselves.

The death urge definitely programs humans. The death urge is defined as a psychic energy composed of all of our anti-life thoughts. These thoughts form a structure and belief system. The energy has a life urge and intelligence. The urge can be changed or destroyed. Death is inevitable and beyond our control is a key thought in victim consciousness. I just read where in 1958 the average life span was 74. Today, it is 85. I mention the death urge because insurance companies are based upon the principle that each person dies at approximately the same age and of approximately the same symptoms as their parent of the same sex. There are exceptions to this family rule when we look at the cause of the abuses we allow to infiltrate our subconscious and control our minds and bodies.
