Two thousand Years of Absolute Truth?

Those of us who have been raised Christian have assumed that the only sources of tradition about Jesus and his disciples were the four gospels in the New Testament. Then the surprises began... In 1945 in a place called Nag Hammadi, fifty ancient Christian texts proved the Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are only a small selection of gospels from among the dozens that circulated among early Christian groups. Since then, the Gospel of Judas has been discovered, a gospel I have not yet read. The revealed books have opened up new perspectives on familiar gospel stories. You may have heard the 'newly' discovered gospels referred to as the "Gnostic" gospels.

From my intensive research physically and psychically, the early Christians loved and revered the written records but they were not aware of some of the beliefs that the church included much later on and Christians take for granted. The early Christians received the public teachings and also the private teachings to selected disciples. The private teachings were considered as an advance level teaching for those who understood Jesus' basic message. Even the Gospel of Mark tells the reader that Jesus explained things to certain disciples in private, entrusting to them alone "the mystery of the Kingdom of God." This makes sense.

It was common for rabbis then and many teachers do today to reserve deeper truths for students who are prepared to receive. Gospels like the Gospel of Thomas opens, "These are the secret words which the living Jesus spoke, and Didymus Judas Thomas wrote them down." Well...we all know how people react to the idea of a message being secret. It is the same idea with the ancient teachings and temples being referred to as the Mystery Schools. The energy of mystery also veils the Gospel of Mary Magdalene. The gospel was given to her in a vision. I understand and know that exchanges-teachings can occur through the subtle senses of the spirit.
Irenaes and Bishop Athanasius of Alexandria disapproved of any unusual gospels and rejected them as illegitimate books. It is a shame because in the so called obscure sayings, explanations are more to the point in explaining or supporting interpretations.

Two hundred years after Jesus left the scene, an approved list of gospels were presented in the churches. The approved list consisted of 27 books. The secret books, which contained paradox and mystery very similar to the mystical teachings of Kabbalah were discarded. Historians are debating the secret books and will continue to do so. In my opinion, we know truth intuitively. Discovered treasures from the past tend to explode what was accepted before and students, the faithful, begin to question what is real and what is not real. The early Christian movement was diverse and fascinating. Intrigue creates questions regarding Jesus instigating the events of the passion and seeing them as part of a divine plan to create a higher step on the ladder of consciousness for humankind.

Controversy is good. It forces us to think deeply. The deeper our belief and open mindedness, the greater our understanding of the wise messages offered to humanity. The messages are remarkable because they repeatedly state the truth that everything is already within us. Jesus said in the Gospel of Thomas, "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you. For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed." This statement includes discernment, intuition, keen observation, belief and deep thinking. We are expected to be bold, knock and trustingly enter.

Faith

To accomplish change, healing and growth, we must be rock solid in our faith. It must be our primary focus. We must remain confidently in that state of mind until it is objectified. Remember, faith is the feeling we have in consciousness of the thing desired. We could say it is the secret of creation. Through faith the unseen becomes seen. Through our persistent faith, our consciousness is joined with the idea desired.

How would you feel if you were or had the desire already? When you think about it, you would have the feeling already if the desire was objectified. The feeling has to be firmly sealed within you. Faith is our part of creation or bringing forth the desired result. The rest is accomplished on the invisible level without effort. No one can tamper with your state of mind if it is tightly sealed in your belief.

It is similar to sending the word of your inner spirit Self out into the world of matter. Be clear on what it is that you will to create or possess for either yourself or another and send it out. As an example: Sit quietly and assume the mental attitude of listening, recall anything you can about your friend's voice. Really hear it. Imagine that you are hearing her voice and that she is telling you that she now has what you wanted for her. Feel your own happiness at hearing from your friend her good fortune. You have impressed upon your mind the good you desire to manifest. Then...let it go.

Ideal Setting for Prayer

What I am going to say right now is another view of prayer. It is a controlled act. This works to help people who are resistant to help. In other words, they have buried themselves in such a hole that they literally cannot imagine that they can actually be healed. In private, think through the healing in your mind with conviction and accept that the healing is already done for the patient. Mentally speak to the patient and congratulate him on his healing, success or whatever it is that will benefit him. Mentally see him balanced. Believe me when I say that what we confidently affirm subjectively to ourselves and others will manifest in the objective world.

You need to be partly in a subjective/meditative state of mind and be bold regarding what you affirm. Visualization, imagination, boldness, confidence and yes, persistence does work. Your intent is to get in touch with the patients subjective part of the mind. There can be no doubt on your part. This is a controlled prayer, a prayer where you are imagining and expressing an ideal for the benefit of the patient. What you state in confidence silently in your heart will manifest in the mind of the patient as his very own idea. Isn't that interesting?

More of us need to understand the power of the subconscious mind. You can control your own subconscious through the power of your belief. You can also help another person who has become weak and confused by addressing his or her subconscious planting fresh seeds of health, hope and happiness. Using a strong faith and imagination, you will be putting into practice the secret of creation.

How to Make Prayer Successful

It will take both imagination and faith to make a prayer successful. We need to create a mood where we feel that our desire is being fulfilled. If we hesitate, doubt and don't fully accept as true what we desire, it won't work. For instance, if you are trying to help another through prayer, mentally shout his or her name several times in your mind. See the person in your mind balanced as you intuitively tell him or her his good fortune. Then imagine the person telling you in a normal voice the good that has happened to him. Make your conversation a healing reality.

What you must have is a clear mind and feel the truth that the state of balance or whatever it is that is needed has been received. I know it is a mental conversation but mental conversations that are felt with passion and acceptance regarding having been received, we objectify. By your accepting that it is done actually wills the means by which it is done. Mentally talk to your own self in time of need and mentally talk to your friends as though your desires are accepted by them and are in the process of actualizing. If you really accept that a healing is taking place, the spirit in which you accept this as truth manifests the new reality.

You must be confident. To be confident requires you to look past the physical appearance, put aside your fear and negative feelings. It requires absolute trust, faith and imagination. When you are confident regarding a cure or change, your attitude does more than any medical treatment can accomplish. If you or the patient is overly emotional or overly intellectual, the senses take over. Doubt creeps in and everything is null and void. Actually, if the patient is basically doubtful or negative in his thinking, direct your subconscious suggestions to him silently and secretly when the patient is absent. The last thing you need in helping another or your self is to be up against an antagonistic belief. Don't tell the patient. Also, it is best not to tell others if you are working silently and secretly on your own healing. It is strange but true that sometimes it is better to keep the objective part of the mind in ignorance of the suggestion being direct at the subjective.

transformation

Yes, I felt and began to look like an entirely different person. It all happened around this time period of the year. It felt as if a powerful yet loving force had entered my energy, an energy that was far wiser than my personality and behavior. My husband said, "You are a different person". I had not told him or anyone else about my being unconscious for an hour or the emergency physical problem and the subsequent healing. I had kept it all secret and decided to do the same with the differences I could feel in my mind and energy.

Having felt God's love for the first time in my life, the feeling was overwhelming. Although I had been raised a Lutheran, I knew nothing about the man Jesus. Because a healing power remained with me, I began to search for answers about the meaning of life and our purpose here on earth. I wanted to understand everything that I could about the soul and the spirit and whether there was a difference and why we had them as part of our make-up. Everything changed for me, not only a healed body.
