Angels, Forgiveness & Healing

Angels are associated with healing. Their knowledge is pure, wise and comforting. Of course, they are not subject to sickness or injury. Their helpfulness is untiring. The basis of all healing is forgiveness. Letting go of the wounds people inflict on us is part of the process. Forgiveness also includes the wounds we inflict on others, which more than likely will haunt if left unattended. Whenever there is a need for healing, there is a need for forgiveness. Forgiveness is the angelic road to healing. We came from the Light, which is love, wisdom and unity. While on earth, we ignorantly create too much disorder and pain. Many people accept the unbalanced way of living as normal. Angels find this form of moral and spiritual ignorance intolerable. Angels are ready to work with receptive souls when they stop displaying resistance and judgments. They often arrive on the scene so we may have a glimpse of a finer existence, which freely uses spiritual medicine.

Perhaps, you have had an angel experience and simply did not recognize it as one. A very special friend of mine, Dawn, shared with me the following story. Her third child was five months old at the time and had been diagnosed with a respiratory virus that was not improving after two long months of around-the-clock treatments and medication. She remembers one evening being totally exhausted and on her knees praying. All of a sudden, Dawn looked up and saw two magnificent and tall celestial beings. The angels did not have discernible faces. Instead, they were enmeshed in forms of beautiful vibrating colors of radiant light. The colors were white, blue and pink.

The angels did not say anything, nor did they have to. They radiated such a loving healing presence that my friend was not only in awe, but knew from that glorious moment that her child would be healed. He was. To this day, he is healthy and energetic. Dawn mentioned that she will be forever thankful to the brilliant beings and other compassionate beings of Light who are always nearby guiding, comforting and protecting.

Awareness of Angel Presence

When we are aware that there are invisible beings willing to help us, it is more likely they will make their presence known. Angels speak to us through our thoughts. You do not need to do anything extraordinary or have attained a high level of spiritual mastery to attract them. All you need to do is trust and believe that there are beings who care about your safety, evolution and healing. Angels do not try to force us to do anything. They hope that we will pay more attention to messages they send, not them. Angel words are always filled with the Light, joy, peace, wisdom, love, courage and confidence that comes from our Father-Mother God. We cannot force them to come to us but, we can invite them.

Did you know that there are designer angels? I know that sounds strange. Here is an example. If you have a problem, define the problem and ask that an angel come who can give assistance in that particular area. There are angels whose speciality is education. Others specialize in healing, writing, art, music, business and as guardians. Why not ask for an angel with a particular expertise in the area of your need?

Interestingly enough, some people actually set a place at the dinner table for personal guardian angels as symbolism of angels being included in the family circle. Angels are unlimited. There are many possibilities. For instance, one or more can be assigned to groups or organizations that have an objective purpose in promoting balance, compassion or deep thinking. Groups of people with a selfless intention or cause develop a group mind that will attract angels. Acknowledge the group angel energy and send this energy before you. Ask the group guide to help with any challenges and support a new awareness within the group. Angels are everywhere we are. I have a friend who psychically sees angels administering to patients at her local hospital.

My purpose is to remind you that you are never alone. We cannot judge by appearances. Be conscious of the truth that our Creator has given angels charge over us, to guard us in all our ways. Take the time to stop and remember them. Offer your gratitude and allow a higher love and peace to embrace you. If you have not already, contact your personal guardian angel today.

Ways of Identifying an Angel

A long time ago, I read about St. Bartholomew who was one of the first who went on record stating that angels may be identified by a trailing and wonderful fragrance. The unexplained scent of roses or pines in the air may be a clue that an angel has passed by. The refreshing smell of a rich pine forest is associated with angels on a healing mission. A sandalwood fragrance symbolizing healing angels. The scent also indicates angels who arrive with creative and inspirational messages and suggestions. Guardian angels are said to radiate a fragrance that is sweeter than a flower garden in full bloom.

Angels come in all shapes, sizes and colors both visible and invisible to the physical eye. You see them for the most part with your inner eye. An angel experience changes us. As we develop through noble and unselfish efforts, we draw closer to them. While we achieve soul progression, they will be patiently waiting and seeking our recognition and love. An attitude of expectancy, love and belief have everything to do firsthand experiences. It is a blessing to be aware of their nearness. Always be grateful for the slightest token of helpfulness, meaning even in the small things like losing a lost item and suddenly knowing where it is.

Angels speak to us through our thoughts and sudden visions and dreams. As an example, two nights ago I was shown in a dream that if I loaned my computer to my friend the printer would not work once it was returned to me. The dream was correct. At the moment my printer is not working. Last week, I had a dream where I saw myself on my hands and knees on the wood floor in the hallway scooping something up that I could not identify in my dream. Well, later the morning of the next day I was on my hands and knews scooping up sewage. A plumber was called. The common drain for the building had backed up in my laundry room. It took hours to clean up the awful mess. That wasn't a part of the plumber's job assignment.

I have also been given many dreams where I am to warn someone of a possible accident. Years ago, I was shown my daughter running on a trail in the D.C. area during her work lunch hour. The next thing I saw was her body lying motionless on the path covered with leaves. I immediately called her and described the area that was secluded and appeared very much like a tunnel created by the beautiful trees. Sure enough...I described her daily jogging area. She listened to me and changed her route. The horrific part is later that very week a woman jogger was murdered on that same path. I urge you to always listen and act, if possible, on the dream or vision given to you. Once I did not. I had an early morning dream of one of my son's driving home from a local college and his face was so bloody and the lips distorted that I did not actually understand it to be him in the dream. Well, later that day when driving home that very same accident happened and his lip was split open after hitting the windshield. Because we were both rushing, I had not taken the time to share either analyzine or share the dream. Also, I was not absolutely positive it was my son in the dream. Sometimes, we must learn the hard way. I have forgiven myself but imagine how I felt. To me this is evidence that there are multiple possibilities that we can choose to live from. The more spiritually aware and discerning we are,the greater our awareness. We become alert to the many possibilities and choose the one that will bring balance and not harmful results.

How to meet an Angel

If you desire to be in touch with an angel, the approach is basically in the same way that you would be in touch with your own divinity. It is through faith, trust and an acceptance of the finer worlds of Light and Love. The invisible planes, which can be visible as well as felt by sensitive minds and hearts, are all one, not two. In other words, creation is not separated. The thinking mind only assumes it is. Once a person believes, an attitude of trust and knowing must be acted upon in all that he or she does. Help is available to those who ask. In asking, we are reaching out to both our inner divine spirit and the angels. Spirit and angels look upon the soul as being temporarily entrapped in matter. If the inner Self and the guardian angels are ignored, they are not as evident as they could be. It doesn't matter if you belong to an organized religion or are an independent thinker and believer. Everyone has both the inner spark of divinity and divine help available through love and belief.

What you can do in a non emergency situation is to simply relax and be receptive to the mysterious inner voice that all of us hear at one time or another. Belief is required on your part. Then, sit back and wait. Angels appear in many forms. The ones I see rarely have wings. We usually see what we expect to see. Their radiant colors and light are of a different frequency than what we normally understand as color. Although all the colors of the rainbow may be displayed, brilliant blues and greens are commonly associated with flashes of Light. When appearing in a recognizable form, they look like us but taller, ageless and absolutely flawless.

One of the ways that you may recognize an angel's presence is through a feeling of peace and warmth that flows through your mind and body. This is true even when the angel is not seen. Their messages are clear and positive. You will retain a vivid memory of an angelic visit. My first angel encounter happened when I was alone and praying one afternoon. Several brilliant beings of Light stood before me. Their combined energy was so intense that I fell down on my knees crying in joy. I felt that my room including the carpet was holy ground. The experience was all embracing.

Cars and Angels

I have always found it fascinating how angels can briefly appear in human form, yes, human form, to help us in a time of need. Several senior ladies were driving on an isolated road in Wisconsin. When the flat tire occurred, they were quite upset. Only a few minutes elapsed and a young man appeared near the car asking my friend, Miriam, if she would like help. Of course, she said yes. In no time at all, the spare was put on. Miriam turned her back to the man as she looked in her purse sitting on the front seat. Although he never asked for payment, she wanted to give him something for his generous act of kindness. When she was ready to hand him money, he had disappeared as quickly as he had appeared. There were no other cars or buildings in the area. It is safe to say that we need to pay attention to the 'people' we meet. One of them may be an angel in disguise.

Recently, I met a lovely young woman named Loren. She had several angel stories to share. One of them occurred when she was eight months pregnant with her son. She was driving north on a tollway to go to a doctor's appointment. The rain that had been slowly drizzling quickly turned into a heavy downpour. Her windshield wipers were going full speed, but she could barely see what was in front of her. As Loren leaned forward in the seat and squinted through the rain, to her horror she saw that up ahead was a red sports care in her lane...and he was facing the wrong direction!

Loren looked to either side of the car for some way to escape a head-on collision. There were semi trucks to the left and right of her, leaving nowhere else to go. She realized that there were no options left, and shouted "Please God, please help me!" The last thing she saw was the man's face in the sports car, eyes wide and mouth screaming. Loren then gripped the steering wheel, closed her eyes and braced for impact. The impact never came. When she opened her eyes she was still in the same lane driving at the speed of traffic. When she looked in her rearview mirror, she saw the red sports car behind her, still in her lane, and still facing the wrong direction. Confused and in shock, all she could do was shout over and over, "Thank you, God, thank you for saving me." Loren was fortunate to have hardworking angels eager to help her on that miraculous day. Do you understand why angels appear to help some people and not others?

Dramatic Angel Interventions

A long time ago, I remember reading a story where Rev. Billy Graham recounted another story that happened to a Rev. John Paton, a pioneer missionary in the New Hebrides Islands. Hostile natives surrounded Paton's mission headquarters one night with the intention on attacking Paton and his wife. The couple prayed through the night. As daylight arrived, they were amazed to find the threat had vanished. Later, the chief of the tribe converted to Christianity. Rev. Paton asked the chief why he had not carried out his attack. The chief replied it was because of the army surrounding the Paton home. Startled, Paton said that only he and his wife were present. "No", the chief replied. The chief went on to say that there were hundreds of big men in shining garments standing guard with drawn swords who were encircling the mission.

From personal experience and stories like the preceding one, it becomes very obvious to us that we not only have our own guardian angel (s) but in special circumstances God sends hundreds of angels to protect us. The following is a story along the same lines. It is a true and old story of Attila the Hun camped at the gates of Rome in 452 AD and the Roman army collapsing. Attila retreated because when Pope Leo went empty handed to the barbarian camp begging him to spare the city, Attila saw two shining beings with flaming swords standing along side Pope Leo. Isn't this comforting to know?

I personally know a great deal about the swords of angels, particularly the traditional flashing sword of Archangel Michael. I had returned from someone's workplace that was heavily filled with negative energy. The energy was so powerful that my normal exuberant and healthy energy felt completely drained. As soon as I got home, I went to bed. Being clairvoyant, I saw the ugliest darkness that had followed me home. This dark energy was an intelligence and it was strong. I started to pray in my weakened state. All of a sudden, I saw Archangel Michael's silver/blue flashing sword coming from the left of my bedroom straight as an arrow to the dark energy looming in the right side of the room dissipating it instantly. As soon as the sword struck through the blackness, my energy returned and I felt like my usual energetic self.

Why are Angels Here?

The evidence shows that angels are here because we are loved. They treat us in the way humans need to treat each other. They guide, guard, warn, comfort, teach and sometimes behave very much like a good friend and companion. There have been times when I have felt lonely and my hand is actually touched or my cheek gently stroked. It could be that we only sense their presence and in rare moments we may receive their caring thoughts when we are embroiled in a crisis. I have seen angels as huge glorious beings standing well above the ceiling.
I am always amazed by their beauty and youthfulness. They have also appeared as brilliant flashes of Light. I have one particular angel who wears a gown of brilliant blue. She loves to dance. Her dancing is a way to demonstrate the freedom and joy that she feels as God's emmisary and helper.

I am convinced that angels will do just about anything to help us live more joyful and meaningful lives. Billy Graham says that the role of angels is to comfort us, to give us peace and joy even at the most critical hour when it is time for us to leave the earth. When my father-in-law was ill with cancer, he beckoned me to the side of his bed. He said that 'they' are coming next Wednesday. I asked him who 'they' were. He said the angels. The angels were right on time and this kindly man left in peace and love.

One of my earlier encounters was during an emergency snow storm. My young son and I were lost in the woods. The trails were covered with snow. We had been out all day and were very cold. The night was quickly coming and we were totally confused as to our location. We had not seen another human for at least an hour. I called the angels. Far across a large expanse of land, I spotted two human looking beings. They motioned to us to follow them. They kept their distance, never talked and would pause when I would fall in weariness. This arrangement continued in the darkness of night until I first knew that the surroundings were beginning to look familiar. I called out to them thank you, thank you, I know where we are now. They immediately vanished. During our entire experience, we saw no one nor was there any other human or car in the parking lot. We would have frozen to death if the angels of love had not answered our prayers. By the way, the answer was instantaneous. The feeling of love and genuine concern for us remains until this day.
