What Would An Angel Do?

Are you overwhelmed? With snowstorms, earthquakes, serious financial problems, health issues that persistently hang around, relationship challenges and everything else happening around you, you would be an angel in action if you were not somewhat mystified why all of this nonsense is going on simultaneously. You might as well relax. It is going to get worse before getting better for the majority of people. That may sound callous but it really is not. If you allow yourself to become stressed over a world that has gone mad, you will harm the equilibrium that is required to achieve balance and sustaining health.

Here we are acting in this enormous drama with many wishing they could step off the stage and play another role. Hold on...dear hearts, hold on. You picked the role you are playing for very specific reasons. You may not consciously know what it is but you did choose to take part in the drama occurring all over the planet. Choices are constantly being made. Hopefully, they are ones that will not only work for our greater good but for the good of humanity, planet earth and all life. Wait, I have not finished. You probably are thinking nothing new in this message...but there is.
Not only has the majority written the script for planet earth and her species during this cycle, the roles were handpicked. How is that? Why would you choose the role you are holding onto for dear life? Because you have forgotten the light body, the higher mind and spirit that I mentioned in yesterday's message. It is the amazing light intelligence who could be in charge of your daily activities creating a life fit for an angel. The problem is forgetfulness, lack of trust and not allowing the Higher to take over the lower.

Why not allow an energy that is sublime, highly intelligent with a vast firsthand experience to rule your current life? Everyone sticks to the ego-personality, a temporary role, which can totally mess with a higher plan which leads to soul evolution. I may be speaking in a light vein but this is serious business. To accept the higher intelligent light, the greater eternal body and mind as your guide, savior, protector and all the goodies you really desire, you have to be serious about this connection and walk the talk. Choices are one thing but what you do with the choices as far as action is concerned is a totally different scenario. Would you believe me if I told you that you are angels who are playing with creativity and became lost in your own creation?

A Seven Year Cycle of Planetary Change

The Vedic teachings according to Robert E. Cox, a Vedic philosopher and researcher, indicate that an eighty-four month period is the primary time frame for the destruction and eventual transformation to take place. Forty-two months, beginning last June 9th leading to December 21, 2012 and another 42 months following that date. Many of the ancient sages and seers foresaw the ultimate transformation through their powers of intuitive vision. Many of us who are not so ancient periodically experience visions suggesting what may happen on earth during this time period. I have always felt that we have a choice regarding our personal involvement and the severity of the times. What we are viewing on television and new movies ready to be released on this subject only show the horror and the fear experienced by humanity.

The natural disasters and other changes actually serve a positive purpose. Removing security on any level serves the purpose in destroying the massive collective Ego that has ruled for 13,000 years. Many who are on earth right now will witness the greatest transformation that has ever occurred in recorded history. According to Prof. Cox and his Vedic interpretations, the coming Golden Age is different from previous Golden Ages. I will explain more about this point later.

All transformations in Nature involve a process of both destruction and creation. Reason informs us of this truth. The Greek term "apocalypse" literally means, "lifting the veil." The veil that is about to be lifted is the dark veil of spiritual ignorance that has largely covered the human spirit for the last few thousand years. The veil is the Ego/personality, an age-old enemy within who is but a shadow of our True Self. How do we diminish the Ego? One way is being forced to lose what is important to us such as a job, home, money, an important relationship, position or standing in a bread line. Losing possessions and a secure routine definitely humbles the Ego. Losing health and wealth in order to discover and strengthen the inner wealth and achieve a balance between body, mind and soul sounds extreme but sometimes it is necessary to jolt humanity into a higher understanding and spirituality.

The Age of Truth

It is obvious that we are living during a very important juncture in time. Not only is there many changes happening to most of us right now, we keep hearing about either the end of time or hopefully, the dawn of a new and brighter Age, the Age of Truth. From research, the indications are that the fast approaching marking point, the cycle of 13,000 years, will be quite different from the past four Ages referred to as Golden Ages. The ancient teachings state that we will not move back into the forests to live in caves. Instead, we will eventually come to live in a finer energy where the human soul is in tune with Nature and at peace with itself once again. Enough of us have awakened and are speaking out so change can occur more to our liking. Perhaps, this is the redemption mentioned in scriptures.

Wouldn't it be healing if we used technology to reflect spiritual truth? Changes of this kind do not happen overnight. It is about time that we use technology to nourish Nature and all life. For this to happen, what we create must be based on inner knowledge that is pure. This would be a science of consciousness that provides convenience, leisure and nourishment to our souls and the soul of Nature. Ideally, we will develop into true citizens of the universe. Our awareness will extend beyond the small confines of this planet. War and poverty will become a thing of the past and the earth will blossom because we will be compassionate caretakers. A new type of society at last!

What we need is a different social system where we embody both individualism and collectiveness. Nature is holism, why not us? When we allow natural laws to govern, we free ourselves from the corrupting influence of the ego-personality. To accomplish this ideal, more of us must be secure in our true spiritual identity and its relationship with the One Universal Self. A holistic social system involves caring for each other and all things in the universe. To achieve fulfillment, the little ego must be diminished allowing the true knowledge of the Self to awaken as us. We diminish the ego both individual and collective through sacrifice.

Early Atlanteans...

The early Atlanteans sense of feeling according to Rudolph Steiner and his access to the Akashic Records, was dramatically different than how we understand the sense of feeling. If the Atlanteans were tired and needed rest, they would enter their physical body. For activity, they would enter the spirit world. In the spirit world, they felt transposed into a group soul. During this early first period of Atlantis, a process took place in which human beings gradually passed from one set of conditions into their opposite. Gradually, the etheric body was being driven into the physical and this occurred during the last third of the Atlantean epoch. They originally felt at rest in the physical and alive in the brilliance of the spiritual world. As the shift from the one viewpoint changed, they withdrew from the spiritual into the physical. The Atlanteans at that stage of physical evolution finally understood themselves in the confinement of a body shell as an independent being.

Gradually, it dawned upon them that they were egos with their own consciousness and not the group soul they had previously known as their identity. As they spent more time in the snail-body, they knew what they were and learned to perceive the physical environment that used to be seen only as vagueness. Now, when they descended fully into their physical bodies and looked at the sky, they did not see the rainbow but they finally did see something like a circle formed of color. They were seeing for the first time the sun although at that time the sun did not penetrate with its power through the heavy mist. The awakening of external consciousness was connected with the emergence of the Sun from the mist. Now, we can understand why so many early religions worshipped the Sun. The early Atlanteans did not require the Sun to physically live because, remember, they spent more of their time out of the physical body then in it.

Once the Sun appeared and physical and environmental changes occurred, the door of inner spirit vision closed to these beings. This is a cosmic process in world history. Consciousness of self evolves through spiritual darkening. In this way, human beings grew away from the brilliance of the group souls but gained individuality. It was a long time before they really grew to possess individuality, as we know it. Souls today are still searching for the spirit contact they once had when they were not as grounded in matter.

Desire and Becoming

Some teachings state that we should not desire anything. Desire draws us back to earth and the snares of living in materiality. I personally feel that there are good desires such as learning self-mastery. If we achieve self-mastery, then if we desire to return to earth we bring with us the strengths we have accumulated through love for the good, discipline and right choices. Desire originating in the inner Self is quite different from the desire of the ego/personality.

It is actually funny when you think about it. Desire is used to rid ourselves of desire; we desire the state of desirelessness. Our mental constructs are such an absurdity. Instead of removing a personality anger trait by becoming angry at our weakness, why not remove anger and misplaced desire by seeing the reality of our current condition? We are a spirit trapped in a soul/mind/emotional and physical body. We must be aware. Awareness of who we really are frees us from desires that entrap.

Why not change right now? Why wait? The process of becoming is a form of deception because we are always seeing ourselves as less than we actually are. It is easy to deceive ourselves into believing that through time we will gradually change hatred into compassion, greed into nonattachment and fear into joy. When we always see ourselves as becoming, good changes are postponed. When we groan about our weaknesses, the past and even talk about the future, it is the ego talking. Maybe we need to simply accept the spirit living as us and live accordingly.

Unlocking the Mystery

The third chapter of Pantanjali Sutras is called the Siddhis section. It consists of 54 out of the 195 sutras that reveal what we need to unlock the mystery of who we are. And the process that is offered is a very simple one called self-observation. My intent is to help willing souls reach self-understanding. Self-understanding helps us break the bonds of conditioning. It leads to a state of oneness with life, a union with God and finally our destination, a state of perfection while living in the flesh.

We must use the tools that have been given to us and extract the understanding necessary to reach a state of self-understanding. For an example , working with mantras will accelerate the evolution of the soul. Yes, there are spiritual powers gained as we become more enlightened. Although very convenient, Powers are not the goal. Why? They can become detriments if we become attached to them. It is the ego who desires power in order to expand itself. If we can use powers without losing our state of balance, they will work for the good of all who experience them.

The ideal is to remove all the obstacles to our spiritual growth and joy. Even when we have psychic and spiritual powers, we are not necessarily enlightened. It is simply a fact that we have added another aspect or attachment to our self-image. In other words, the attainment becomes part of our ego. Many people place their focus on becoming this or becoming that. Becoming is part of the human measuring time routine. We may feel insufficient. Insufficiency's will spur us on to become better than what we judge we are. Actually, fear of lack and limitation is the barrier to self-awareness. Most people are fearful of both life and death and do not yet comprehend what real love actually is. They desire it as a form of self-centeredness under the guise of pleasure, security and a need fulfilled.

Free from Ego

Who is it that feels guilt and pride? The ego. It is the ego who says this is too much to do, I cannot stay with the plan, meditation is too time consuming. For many people, the idea of controlling their emotions feels absolutely impossible. Patience is the key word here. We have been acting out harmful feelings for years; transformation is not an overnight occurrence.

Remember, it is the fear,confusion, thoughts that harm and actions that separate that bring us down into the depths of despair. A strong ego really does a number on the inner spirit. We meditate not only for peace, which is needed, but to clear out the blockages, the extra baggage that prevents our being whole. Meditation has a far greater value than simply being peaceful for twenty minutes and then returning to the same old routine of disorder.

We are embarrassed by our reactions and the negative energy created when we forget who we are. Try and focus on the higher immortal pure and perfect spirit self who is changeless. The real healer is to repeatedly identify with the true Self. The more you actually do this, the more the subconscious impressions will fade. The eventual result will be a human being free of ego domination. This is real freedom.
