The Second Great Wave of Angels

Angels are found all around the world in art. The second great wave of angels occurred in the Middle Ages and was reflected in the art and poetry of the times. An intense interest in the appearance and influence of the shining ones developed throughout the Jewish, Christian and Muslim worlds. In more recent times, angels make themselves known through modern communications especially the entertainment industry. Unquestionably, the best loved angel movie of all time is "Its a wonderful Life", the Jimmy Stewart classic that is shown every Christmas on television. George Baily, Stewart's character, is saved from suicide by his guardian angel. If you saw another old movie, "Grand Canyon", Kevin Kline is grabbed by an angel disguised as a young woman averting his being hit by a speeding bus.

Anyone whose life has been touched by the grace of an angel will agree wholeheartedly with the thought that angels are messengers from God: beings of beauty, purity and kindness as well as guardians and protectors. Some of you may remember the movie "Heaven Can Wait", a remake of the 1940 angel movie, "Here comes Mr. Jordan". Critics also loved "Wings of Desire" .For many years television had as one of its most popular shows, 'Highway to Heaven', in which the late Michael Landon played an angel named Jonathon Smith whose mission on earth was to persuade people to love and help one another. This season, 'Eli Stone', a lawyer guided by angels has turned out to be a very good show. The story line emphasizes listening to your 'inner voice' and visions and life's challenges can turn out very good.

Famous people have been touched by angels. George Washington during a terrible winter at Valley Forge claimed an angel appeared to him in his despair. The angel renewed his faith and ensured Washington of Victory. Abraham Lincoln often mentioned he felt the presence of angels as he labored at his desk late at night in the White House. During the middle ages, Joan of Arc, a sixteen year old farm girl lead an army that defeated the English and saved the French throne. She said she was inspired by the voices of two archangels, Michael and Gabriel, to take up arms against the invaders. More to come........

A Close Look at Angels

Down through the ages, millions of people famous and otherwise have felt the grace and uplifting power of angels. I have decided to tell you about angels because these beautiful and inspiring beings have been a large part of my life and perhaps yours. They are always with us whether we actually see them or not. We are living in a time when invisible helpers have become popular and actually visible. While angels have always been with us, it is almost as if we just discovered them. There are thousands of people from all walks of life who have been helped, guided, literally saved, inspired or comforted by embodiments of goodness, generosity and hope. People are eager to reveal their close encounters.

Stories of visions and firsthand experiences with angels have been around since the earliest days of written history. All the major religions of the world...Hinduism, Judaism, Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam , Zoroastrianism and the visions of Shamans accept angels as an intervening force between a Supreme Power and the human race. Religious scholars, in general, simply say the number of angels is too great to count. Most modern versions of the Bible carry approximately 300 references to angels and their duties here on earth. The earliest appearance of the shining ones is found in Genesis. They are messengers of God.

I will add a few tidbits such as the records of the ancient Jewish writings and laws stating that every Jew has 11,000 angels. The Roman Catholic Church teaches that each human is assigned a guardian angel at birth who remains close by during the entire life experience. In the Islamic religion, everyone is said to have two angels...one to record good deeds and the other to keep track of bad deeds. Angels are also important figures throughout the New Testament. The first wave of awareness sharing revelations regarding invisible celestial helpers first came to human attention through religion. Since this is a popular subject, I will continue with this delightful topic for the next couple of weeks.

You Can Be Who You Wish to Be

Believe me. You are not restricted or limited. You only think you are. You can be what you wish to be. Choose what you wish to experience regardless of age or gender. You always have a choice. If you have not been in charge, it is time that you begin. The 'you' I am referring to is the very highest part of you, the Self. Allow your higher Self to shout....this is who I am!

The Self you are honoring is Light. It is Divine, an immortal intelligence whose true energy or essence is unconditional love. You already have the gifts and treasures of spirit within. In most souls, the gifts are dormant waiting patiently for recognition and use. You can be the freedom, love, joy, balance and the wisdom of the ages in a physical form. It is your choice.

Life is a gift. If you change your attitude and understand what I am saying, you will realize that every moment is holy. Your thoughts and words are power. You created your life. No one really does anything to us. We allow and accept the acts directed at us. Through honoring Self and the Self in others, you awaken a reverence for life. Only you can get your life to take off. Love who you really are. Embrace it regardless of what you are doing. The Still Small Voice is closer than you realize.

You are a sacred light on a sacred journey. The goal of life is to know the highest truth of Self and to stay centered on this truth. The first relationship and best is with the Self. We are holy regardless of the appearance. Make friends with your essence within. I trust that I have opened new possibilities for you. Do yourself a great favor....always keep in mind that there is more than one possibility.

The Power to Change

There are many possibilities to choose from. You have the power to change how you behold experiences and people. Allow yourself to really think, listen and feel. Pay attention to intuitive insights and honor your soul by consciously connecting to your feelings. Learn to prioritize asking if this decision is for the best interest of not only your self but all involved.
Open your mind and heart to new ideas. Be willing to change your mind, habits, environment and friends. You are in training and what you are training is your restless mind and actions that do not serve inner happiness or health. It is never to late to begin fresh and enjoy the living process from a higher perspective...a perspective that brings joy and fulfillment.

There are three levels of creation: thought, word and deed. What you repeat manifests as your reality. Healing experiences are proof of another power at work. The first healing we must experience is to correct the identity crisis, the main problem of humanity. You are a three fold being: body, mind and soul. What consciousness are you working from? How you feel influences your world. Most people feel from the level of the body. About 7% from the mind and only a few from the spirit. To live as we are meant to live, we must balance all three aspects of who and what we are.

You have a right to joy. Joy...what is that? God does not advocate suffering. God is a God of love. When you are true to self, honor it and the joy, real joy and love will come and it will come from within you. The within is the Kingdom of Heaven, the wisdom, love and bliss of the ancients. Mind, body and soul are equally important and are meant to work in harmony. Because the masses do not believe and live this truth, 4/5th of the world people think of life as a trial. Your body is the temple for your higher Nature. You are not separated from the Divine. You just think you are.

Look closely at your choices. The only real job any of us has on this planet is to reconnect to the Divine and stop feeling separated from It. This is living fully and successfully as love in form.
Decide who you are, what you desire to experience and then do everything in your power to be that individual. You have everything in your power to be your ideal. There are no accidents or coincidences. Bless experiences and other people as part of your awakening process. Embrace the process and move through it with confidence and peace. Strange but true, by simply changing our attitude we can actually transform our lives.

Making a Choice

Throughout the years, I have participated in hundreds of dramatic healings. Healing experiences began within my own mind and physical body. Personally, healing transformations became a living reality because I fully surrendered my life to a higher Power. When I help other people who are not ready to live the Will of God, I suggest proven techniques such as contemplation, meditation, prayer and service. I, also, use the techniques daily but it was the inner willingness to surrender that lifted me over the bridge from the mundane to the Sublime.

Transformation is about taking control of the lower sense nature and aligning your mind and heart with your Higher Spirit Nature. A simple tool is to create an Honesty Sheet on your weaknesses and strengths and decide to take action. The goal is to awaken spiritually and discover your true identity. What can you do right now? Everything. It doesn't cost you anything. You just have to decide to do it. We are creators both consciously and unconsciously. Learn to work consciously with energy by taking charge of your life. Who or what is in control? Is it subconscious feelings, someone else, your uneducated ego or the higher Self, the eternal essence of who you really are?

How do you create? Very simply through desire, imagination, thought, feelings, words and actions both positive and negative. You are constantly working with and sending out energy. This energy is Light and a form of power. It is alive . So, it behooves you to pay attention to what you are expressing. As you learn to monitor your thoughts, you will make better choices. You always have a choice as to whether to act from a place of fear or a place of love. Do your choices make you happy? When you are unsure of how to react to a person or situation, ask yourself, 'What would love do in this situation'? It is a fresh way of looking at appearances. Does this challenge offer a positive opportunity or is it simply an inconvenient problem?

Benefits of breathwork and meditation

I am so pleased that some doctors, hospitals and wellness clinics have been gradually introducing meditation as part of the rehabilitation process. Hopefully, the patients will continue to use this provable and preventative method to help themselves recover health and visible wholeness. Meditation has been documented as a very effective tool for cancer patients. The benefits mentally, emotionally and physically are astounding. Visualization techniques are commonly used as well.

Before meditating, you might try a series of conscious breathing exercises to center your intention on your goal. It is an organic way of healing the self. The benefits actually release stress and tension, builds energy and endurance, contributes to emotional mastery, prevents and heals in many cases physical problems. It is similar to building a personal energy generator that will work for you if you keep it maintained. Seventy per cent of our body toxins are discharged through breathing. Meditation contributes to graceful aging. It also manages pain both emotional and physical. Another plus is that meditation enchances mental concentration, physical performance and definitely facilitates psycho-spiritual transformation.

Both consciously focusing on your breath and daily meditation are very ancient methods of healing. These ancient and priceless methods work wonders with persistence. Being personally blessed as a healing channel, I always suggest to others that they, too, with effort and love can honor the complete package they call Self, experience visions of Light, celestial beings, increase the power of intuition and be able to heal. Developing passion is necessary to assist your desire to take charge and transform. I normally advise conscious breathing, meditation, contemplation and periods of solitude. By taking charge of our lower animal nature, we can contribute and sustain our own healing through changing our thoughts, patterns, being willing to try new and proven modalities. None of the suggestions are new. People of all walks of life have been practicing them for thousands of years. It is up to you to make a decision and then exercise discipline and love towards your personality as it struggles to achieve self-mastery and freedom.

How to Feel Remarkable!

One of the tools given to us is the ancient science of meditation. When we pray, we talk to God. When we take time for Silence through meditation, we listen. There are many ways to accomplish the feeling of unity and peace. Walking in nature is meditation for many. The period of time you take does not have to be long although I do suggest a minimum of at least ten minutes. If you choose to meditate in your home, select a room or corner where an atmosphere of privacy can be generated and sustained. Turn off your phones. Create a holy place void of distractions. You build a power spot through repeated sessions.

Set the mood: Light a candle if you like props. Undisciplined minds wander. It is helpful to have a picture, sacred symbol, a flower or something you consider holy as your focus.
I suggest you begin with a prayer followed by a statement of your intentions. When your silent moments come to a close, offer thanks with a grateful heart. It is a huge challenge for some people to be silent. Try not and judge your progress. A series of focused breath exercises will assist you in creating ambiance and comfort in your space. Your breath is the life of God sustaining you in form. A mantra, repeated words that are meaningful to you, can be very calming. Example: 'Be Still and Know that I Am God'. The God is the projection of Light, the individualized essence of Supreme Spirit that is within you. Be gentle with your progress. If unrelated thoughts arise, return to your focus. The idea is to relax, remember and feel loved and offer love.

The threefold benefits from daily meditation are physical, mental and spiritual. The physical aspect changes metabolism, heart rate, respiration, blood pressure and brain chemistry. A sense of balance is the result. Your thinking mind and power of concentration is strengthened. Eventually, you reach the point where outside noises do not disturb you. Spiritually, you connect consciously with the sublime Light, the higher Self. You may experience waves of energy, tingling, expansion and the oneness of a glorious Presence. Time and space cease to exist. Eventually, you reach a state of mind of peace and freedom. The joy experienced in contemplation and meditation far surpass any experiences of the lower human nature.
