Everything that is not harmonious can be changed, dissolved, enhanced and enlivened when we
are aware and act upon the higher knowledge. We are responsible for our use of creative power, whether it is expressed consciously or unconsciously. Suffering may or may not be experienced if an individual is spiritually mature and practicing universal law. When our focus is on spiritual endeavors, we gradually move into a liberated spiritual energy, which ultimately leads to freedom from negative karma and worldly attachment. Since it is rare to live a life in isolation, we do need to constantly monitor our thoughts and feelings so we do not become mesmerized and entrapped in another's drama of disorder and despair.
The more we are consciously aware of our own spirit identity and live it, the closer we become to resembling our higher divine Self who does understand the illusion. Right identification will keep us from wavering and falling into a state of imbalance. We can also do whatever we can to alter a negative effect by removing our energy from any activity that violates peace of mind and happiness. This cannot always be accomplished through physical removal but a higher state of mind can be reached through a combination of compassion and detachment. If we find ourselves in situations of disorder, it is necessary to know how to manage the thinking part of our mind. We have the power to put an end to the cycle of self-perpetuating suffering. Why not prepare your mind so you can discern as well as receive truth and peace? Not to honor our inner Self is to violate and disempower its purpose and presence.

Sacrifice of Spirit
It is my opinion that we can handle anything that comes up in life if we have true knowledge regarding our spirit identity and apply the knowledge gained. The higher identity is spirit-light-intelligence-beauty-truth projected temporarily into matter. Matter, emotions and mind are usually assumed to be the only self. The latter is the everyday baggage that we carry around in our normal human state. Until we awaken and rediscover Spirit, it is trapped in space-time. It is our responsibility to set it free. Entrapped spirit is the great sacrifice talked about in the ancient teachings.
The physical world manifests through desire. A higher energy, Spirit, became a living part of the creation. In the meantime, the individual projections of the One Mind forgot its origin. When sublime truth and the real identity are forgotten, harming others or ourselves is often the result. Due to forgetfulness and spiritual ignorance, negative energy is created that will eventually boomerange. Humankind has been warned. Consciousness and desire create the causes that appear in life. It will benefit us if we look at this issue and think deeply regarding personal energy and how to use it. Our current energy is creating the future. In truth, the past, present and future are happening right now. In other words, energy becomes what it thinks about. The energy that most people have forgotten is the hidden and ignored energy of the eternal Spirit, God within...the natural divinity.

Entrapped Spirit
It is a good habit to remind yourself periodically that your spirit is entrapped in matter. The more you lovingly care for the body and mind, the greater your awareness, light, beauty and health. The care you give to the outer opens the way for the inner to express freely as you.
Hate, fear, greed, doubt and all the intense emotions that are opposite of love, light, wisdom and beauty create future imbalanced experiences. These experiences can be altered, neautralized when the mind and soul awakens to the truth of its Real Identity as light and spirit. The ego-personality is not the authentic you. Knowledge of our spirit identity, understanding and being pure in our intent, compassionate and a genuine love for life can wipe clean all the confusion and nonsense that is keeping the soul separated from its Source. Separation only happens in consciousness. The personality moves away from the Source, not the opposite.
The only true life is one that is lived consciously as spirit. If the individual spirit feels limited in its embodiment and unable to express its full potentiality, it will find a way to discard the form. Light in every electron desires to expand. If the personality and the way it has lived the physical life has been disabled, it will find a way to discard the form. When you really look at this thought closely, you will understand what is meant by the expression 'the living dead'. The inner light of the individual is in bondage. A soul has a choice and if it is happy with its choice in discarding the body, it has made the right choice. Regardless of the choices made, the soul continues onward towards its goal, which is conscious perfection. Eventually, the cumulative experiences will satisfy and the soul's journey ends in conscious oneness with its own spirit/light and the expansive Light of its Creator.

Thoughts about Death
Physical death is an effect and a choice although it may appear otherwise. When the soul is ready to leave the body it attracts or finds a way to exit the temporary form. Whether death appears natural or deliberate matters not. The body is a garment and when the soul no longer has a desire to use it, the soul will find a way to leave. Physical forms are garments created for an experience, an experience that the soul creatively has chosen. The experience may be wise and bring further evolution or it may be unwise and create temporary pain and stagnation.
A physical death is always natural. Humans do not usually understand the underlying death wish of the soul who has not completed the return journey to conscious Oneness using a physical form. The Hebrew Bible tells us about men who did not have a death wish: Elijah, Moses, Melchizadek and Enoch. Everyone lived 500-1000 years. Today, India has its immortal yogis. Physical immortality is defined as a body and mind that remains healthy and active for over 300 years. The three basic causes of death are ignorance of the true identity as spirit, emotional energy pollution and poor diet. People die because they kill themselves.
The death urge definitely programs humans. The death urge is defined as a psychic energy composed of all of our anti-life thoughts. These thoughts form a structure and belief system. The energy has a life urge and intelligence. The urge can be changed or destroyed. Death is inevitable and beyond our control is a key thought in victim consciousness. I just read where in 1958 the average life span was 74. Today, it is 85. I mention the death urge because insurance companies are based upon the principle that each person dies at approximately the same age and of approximately the same symptoms as their parent of the same sex. There are exceptions to this family rule when we look at the cause of the abuses we allow to infiltrate our subconscious and control our minds and bodies.

Guarding your Peace
Change is necessary to create peace within. Peace is independently felt within oneself. It is not dependent upon outer sensation. It is something that belongs to us, something that is our own Self. This is our wealth. Those who do not have it are poor. When we are peaceful, we have the power to observe keenly. We can conceive and contemplate properly. Spiritual progress depends on peace within. Have you thought about the lack of peace? Love of sensation, movement and activity in all its different forms, wanting more and more objects and a dependency upon the outside life, the soul loses peace. Train your self to keep the mind focused on the center, the inner peace and your state of mind will be undisturbed. When we are undisturbed, we are less likely to create negative causes. It helps to choose a particular word or mantra that is helpful and mentally or silently use it in moments of disorder.
To remain undisturbed, be constantly aware of the sneaky influences of the subconscious part of the mind. It behooves you to be at constant attention. Do not allow manipulation to touch your energy. A serene mind must be the master, creator and doer. The soul chooses what it would like to experience. The original plan is not set in stone because of the free will and outside influences. Your spirit is patiently waiting for the conscious part of the mind to make the right connection and the feeling nature to develop the passion. To know all is to experience all. This does not mean it must be an actuality. It means that the mind entertains, tastes and assimulates the possibility of an experience in deep contemplation and feelings. It means that the use of unlimited imagination is as much as a reality as the actual physical or material experience.

Looking at Suffering
Although Jesus suffered, he did not have to. He chose his path. The path happened to be during a time of great spiritual ignorance and turmoil. His choice came from an inner well of deep understanding. He understood that the spiritually ignorant live in fear, despise change and resist responsibility for their own actions. He knew that the common energy was barbaric and that barbarians kill. That was his sacrifice. To place his sublime consciousness in a field of muck and mud.
Suffering is not required by law to evolve although that is the typical program most souls choose. Understanding truth and being the light is the answer. Through deep understanding, compassion, discernment, unlimited possibilities and a love for the creative act of simply being who we are molds the thinking mind so it may receive truth and digest it correctly. The thinking part of the mind becomes a receptable for unconditional love and infinite wisdom.
From the human point of view, I am well aware of the challenges that exist for souls who have attained a measure of inner peace and have already awakened love, goodness and balance within. We watch suffering. Those whom we love may be neglectful of personal consciousness or have ongoing disorder in their lives. It is then that we must train our own mind to be compassionate but yet detached. Everyone is not on the same time table to develop and control his or her senses and experiences. If you live in this type of situation, focus on your own center remembering that you too had to learn through effort how to achieve and sustain a state of equanimity as your initiation into Buddha or Christhood.

Everything is Choice
Everything is choice from the lowest and simplest form of life to the highest and most complicated. The only judgment given is the judgment from the unforgiving and dissatisfied part of the mind, soul and personality. There is no great Being dictating what you should do or not do. Remember, free will is your tool to use.
There have been commandments given, principles explained, laws created for moral reasons and the development of character defined. Guidelines have been offered throughout the ages to bring Divine Mind's Order into man's disorder. When we finally know and accept the spirit Self, we write the commandment, the principle, the law and it is our choice as to whether it is useful for growth or to be discarded. In other words, every unit of intelligent Light is free to express through the choices it makes. Learning comes through contemplation, meditation, prayer and action. It is not so much the effect that should be feared but the importance to understand the cause. When the thinking part of the mind understands the cause, effects can be neutralized and healed and discontinued if one chooses.
What works towards our inner joy is an understanding of the higher part of who we really are. Units of Light consciously and unconsciously are continuously seeking means to create and expand the power within. The incarnating soul needs to redefine itself in each incarnation experience. If the soul is not satisfied and feels limited, it is time to recreate the personality and physical body using the model of the higher Self as a guide to outwardly reflect beauty, truth, love and completeness.
